Position

As a leading edge IT consulting firm,is growing and has an exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator to join our team in New Westminster.
The role requires providing exceptional database infrastructure services working alongside two other DBAs (one senior and one junior) providing DBA services for both external clients and internal clients.

Required Skills

Applicants will be required to have minimum of 5 years production or developer DBA experience and are expected to have expert level knowledge in the following areas:
Experience supporting Oracle 10g, 11g and 12c and MS SQL Server 2008/2012/2014;
Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices;
Demonstrated expertise with Oracle and MS SQL on different platforms (Solaris, Linux and Windows);
Extensive experience of Database installation, configuration and patching;
Demonstrated experience with Oracle RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL;
Extensive experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts;
Demonstrated in-depth skills with performance tuning complex application and database environments in Oracle and SQL Server;
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and analyzing data within applications and databases;
Demonstrated expertise in database logical and physical design and implementation;
Expertise with Unix and Windows shell scripting
