Payroll Accounting Manager LOC;Farmington Hills, Michigan

Budget $: 100,000 - 200,000

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process bi-weekly payroll from beginning to end. Includes but is not limited to:
  • Uploading hours, entering commissions and bonuses, issuing manual checks, calculating partial salaries for newly hired and terminated associates, PTO payout for terminated associates, calculating retro pay, preparing check requests or paying electronically court ordered deductions, union dues, distribute the site labor distributions electronically
  • Approves various Status Change Forms electronically including new hires, transfers, bonuses and commissions.
  • Invoice properties and other VG companies biweekly for payroll, burden fees and taxes; record in accounting software.
  • Invoice properties and other VG companies monthly for 401-K, payroll processing fees, to sites both using Excel as well as the accounting software.
  • Prepare cash requirements biweekly.

Required Experience:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting and 4-6 years of multi-state computerized payroll experience, knowledge of payroll accounting
  • Knowledgeable of state and federal labor laws and other requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Ability to communicate both in writing verbally professionally and effectively
  • Exceptional problem solving skills, business acumen and integrity
  • Proven supervisory skills
