Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate, and administer key process improvements to Internet-based EDI implementations.
  • Participate in design and review of new applications and integration strategies of EDI and other eCommerce based systems.
  • Lead transitions of EDI systems to next-generation environments and/or cross-functional business systems.
  • Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of eCommerce systems to meet business demands.
  • Perform system configuration, mapping, and management for EDI-based transactions and processes.
  • Define and perform eCommerce system backups and recovery procedures.
  • Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
  • Compare compatibility of eCommerce related products to company systems and make recommendations.
  • Install, coordinate, and troubleshoot EDI-related products.
  • Define and implement strategies for integrating EDI and non-EDI operating environments.
  • Perform data audits and quality control measures.
  • Recommend and execute modifications to EDI systems in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Define and perform eCommerce system backups and recovery procedures.
  • Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
  • Compare compatibility of eCommerce related products to company systems and make recommendations.
  • Install, coordinate, and troubleshoot EDI-related products.
  • Define and implement strategies for integrating EDI and non-EDI operating environments.
  • Perform data audits and quality control measures.
  • Recommend and execute modifications to EDI systems in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Maintain and Administer Microsoft SQL Server (2008 R2 and later) databases.
  • Work with external Customers and Vendors closely to meet eCommerce goals.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • College or University degree in the Computer Science field and 4 years of Electronic Data Interchange platform experience.
  • Knowledge of EDI standard formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc.), OAGIS, and EDI translators.
  • Working technical knowledge of coding using SQL.
  • Familiarity with Internet protocols including HTML, XML, HTTPS, JSON and FTP.
