Sr.Business Analyst - SAP Finance (FICO) LOC:Cambridge, MA

Budget $: 100,000 - 200,000

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide industry standard financial processes and technology expertise.
  • Hands-on expertise in SAP related modules including FI, CO, (ECC 6.0 EHP 6). Working Knowledge of BPC and BW.
  • Hands-on expertise in Financial Consolidations systems.
  • Provide technical expertise on configuring SAP FICO module and act as an internal expert on SAP capabilities in the Finance area
  • Research and recommend best practices related to various elements of Financial processes such as Reporting, Treasury Functions, Closing Process, Consolidations, Product Costing
  • Address needs for business process and system solutions in all areas of Financial systems
  • Optimize use of systems and technology consulting â?? both internal and external expertise
  • Share knowledge and develop relationships with on/off-shore maintenance and project teams
  • Translate business requests into technical and business process requirements
  • Lead the development/documentation of functional requirements within GCP System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework
  • Identify, establish, and maintain business relationships with Finance and Accounting final decision makers and managers who influence the selection of solutions

Required Skills

Education: Bachelors Degree in Technical related field or Bachelors Degree with demonstrated knowledge of business process, especially in Finance / Accounting

Work Experience

  • SDLC project management experience
  • 10+ years IT Systems Projects / Business Analysis / Service experience
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt and Project Management (PMI/PMP) certification preferred
  • Advanced group facilitation and effective presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must demonstrate experience in Project Management
  • Highly self-motivated, excel at multitasking and be comfortable working in a demanding environment
  • Working knowledge of general accounting, cost accounting, treasury and consolidations
  • Ability to think strategically about opportunities for business process/systems improvement
  • Ability to coordinate remote teams and work effectively with an off-shore, outsourcing provider
  • Change Management coordination and ability to guide/train and influence acceptance of new processes and use of technology
  • Must be willing to perform some tasks and participate in troubleshooting efforts during the off hours

  • SAP GL, AR, AP, AM, CCA, OM, PC, COPA, ECCS
  • Experience with BPC and BW
  • Experience with Banking Interfaces
  • Familiarity with ABAP
  • In depth knowledge of FICO master data
  • Outbound and inbound processing via IDOCs
  • Knowledge on interfacing points with other SAP modules
  • Good Accounting proficiency, sound analytical and problem solving ability
  • Understands the business processes of Finance organizations
