Supply Chain Sourcing Leader - Electrical/Entertainment LOC ; Merritt Island, FL

  • The Supply Chain Sourcing Leader will effectively manage the day to day sourcing related matters and lead Supply Chain projects for assigned electrical/entertainment commodities.
  • This new team member will identify and execute Supply Chain projects with the objective of supply base optimization, SKU reduction, quality improvement, improved inventory turns, reduced production shortages, lead time reduction and working capital improvement across the Brunswick Boat Group business units.

What you will be doing in the role:

  • Commodity strategy development and execution
  • Supply chain optimization
  • Inflation management and reporting
  • Cost modeling
  • Supplier selection
  • Contract negotiation and management
  • Develop and manage long term supplier relationships that will provide and Brunswick Boat Group with a competitive advantage
  • Support major quality spill problem resolution
  • Identify, lead and execute VA/VE projects
  • Identify, lead and execute supply chain projects resulting in best total cost
  • Lead make verses buy decisions
  • Identify and present viable new technology/innovative products to design and engineering

What you bring to our winning team:

Education / Experience:

  • BS degree in electrical engineering, or similar discipline, required
  • 2 of the below certifications preferred:
  • C.P.M.,
  • CPSM
  • CPIM
Project Management
  • Lean Six Sigma Black belt / Greenbelt
  • 3-5 years of progressive supply chain experience with at least four years of sourcing management experience in electrical components in a low volume, highly engineered environment coupled with 1-2 years of international sourcing experience.
  • 2-3 years of project/program management experience in a supply chain, product development, or manufacturing environment with an understanding of Sourcing, Materials Management, and Logistics.

Skills:

  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to adapt quickly to changing project demands with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • High level of analytical ability required to develop and maintain project plans while balancing workloads for a large number of projects
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills required to interact with all levels of management, teams and suppliers
  • Excellent negotiation and cost management skills a must
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate team members in a highly matrixed and cross functional environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail required
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties and projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Access
  • Strong ability to drive and execute change
  • Willingness to accept new responsibilities
