Summary

• Responsible for API, Application/Web, Tool and Automation development primarily in a Dev Ops environment. Principal activities will include development, maintenance and test automation of internet-security-focused tools.
• Linux and dynamic programming language (Ruby and/or Python) essential. Utilizes best practices and clearly defined standards, methods, and procedures.
• Will work closely with other team-members and will be expected to contribute code within an Agile development framework.
  

Core Responsibilities

• Partners with Ops and Product stakeholders to develop applications and tools in a business / customer experience driven framework.
  
• Bridges applications and tools with databases and interconnected systems through APIs.
  
• Creates prototypes in a lean / agile manner in order to influence product direction.
  
• Documents development efforts through system design flows, data models, etc
  
• Performs complex and routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering. Identifies and isolates issues.
  
• Leads the integration of projects into operations including instrumentation, automation, standardization, and methods/procedures.
  
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science
  
• Generally requires 8+ years related experience
  
• Experience with Ruby, Python or Go.
  
• Experience with modern development tools: Git, JIRA, etc.
  
• Experience with rapid prototyping.
  
• Experience with Agile and/or Kanban.
  
• Experience with SaaS and cloud-enabled environments a plus.
