RESPONSIBILITIES:

LOC: Greenwood Village, CO

• looking for an Oracle DBA to join their team on a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity.

• The Oracle DBA is responsible for day to day operations and support of National-Infrastructure Oracle databases supporting various applications providing high-speed data, video, voice, content, and wireless services (including subscriber data/verification, provisioning, mail-services, operational systems support (opsware, big-brother, etc.).
• These responsibilities include: continuous [24/07/365] support, daily maintenance, monitoring, database and SQL performance optimization, troubleshooting, problem resolution, customer support, installing/patching/upgrading database software, implementing routine tasks, performing defined project tasks, reporting, and database backup and restoration.
• The Oracle DBA must be able to demonstrate the ability to ensure that technical solutions are architected, implemented, and operated in a reliable and cost-effective manner.
• This candidate shall provide subject-matter-expertise/operational leadership in issue resolution as well as functional discussions with internal and external organizations (systems analysts and architects, developers, engineering, project managers, solution/application specific vendors, planners, QA, OSS groups, and various levels of management).

• Active member of a team responsible for the overall operations of infrastructure-related Oracle databases

• Key skills include Oracle RAC, Dataguard and Golden Gate
• The candidate should possess an expert understanding of Oracle database architecture, general database concepts and technologies, RMAN backup and recovery strategies, security and authentication protocols, SQL and database performance tuning methods, as well as extensive experience with UNIX/Linux
• The candidate should have extensive experience administering and supporting Oracle 10g/11g RAC, ASM, Data Guard implementations
