  • Collaboratively works in a team of three (3).Supports new Oracle technologies/processes to meet business needs.Building and support multi-platform systems.
  • Provides internal consulting expertise to business customers and developers in the development of business requirements.Maintain technology consistent with company architecture.
  • Provide guidance and direction into the introduction of new development tools and/or processes.
  • Ensure the company stays current on the latest Oracle technology advancements.
  • Monitor tasks, using appropriate tools and techniques, recording progress, adjusting to project changes in order to meet deadlines.Design, develop, and support distributed systems.
  • Maintain standards for new version migrations, platform configurations, and patch updates and security compliance.
  • Occasional after hours support required.DBA Experience and Knowledge Requirements:Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or related studies desired. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered. 5+ years experience utilizing Oracle databases.
  • 3+ years in Oracle database software installation process, fine tuning and performance related activities.3+ years working with database monitoring tools such as TOAD, OEM, BMC, etc.Proficient, hands-on experience with 11i or 12c.Excellent understanding of RMAN backup, recovery and cloning.
  • 3+ years experience in implementing complex level database projects, new database building, writing UNIX Shell scripts and related activities.
  • Excellent knowledge and ability in troubleshooting and problem resolution activities.Oracle EBS patching, cloning, tuning.
  • (Will consider other applications such as People Soft or SAP experience).Good understanding of SDLC, IT standards, and procedures to complete project deliverables on assigned tasks within established deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of UNIX and how it relates to database activities, and also of storage and its effect on performance.Experience interpreting results from Operating System tools such as sar, iostat, vmstat, prstat, and top.
  • Experience with PL/SQL, Oracle Streams, Data Masking and Partitioning.
  • Experience with Data ModelingExperience with Database Tuning.Experience with Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with:Standard best practices and knowledge of audit controlsData Security implementationDatabase replication in support of DR and BCPOperating Systems (Linux, Windows, Unix)
