Requirements:

  • Adapt to new development environments, changing business requirements and learning new systems. We're currently rewriting large parts of the existing infrastructure on top of new distributed stacks.
  • We have a large variety of products (from ad targeting to audience management, etc.) that we need to interact with so we drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements.
  • Handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure Quality Assurance teams are successful by helping them prepare proper test cases and metrics
Position Summary

  • You will work with us to design, prototype, develop, test, scale, harden, tune, optimize,monitor, and maintain Big Data solutions using both open source and propriety software in a "cloud" environment. You can expect to providetechnical leadership to projects and teams. Working in a team environment you will need to effectively communicate and coordinate your efforts.
Whatyou need to succeed
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience
  • Language expertise in Java or Scala
  • Ability to debug and tune JVM workloads
  • Production experience maintaining distributed systems (like Hadoop, HBase, Spark/Spark Streaming, Storm, Kafka, Mesos, etc.) is required
  • Experience developing, monitoring and maintaining large distributed, highly available services
  • Experience in cloud computing ecosystems like AWS, GCE, Open Stack, etc.
  • Experience building and deploying docker containers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record delivering results, especially in the area of writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code
  • Strong technical vision
  • Stay current with technological developments within the Big Data space. Provide guidance on when and where to adopt emerging technologies into our ecosystem
  • Be willing to work in an open development environment where your code is reviewed before going into the product, you communicate via chat and email DL, you track work in JIRA, etc.
  • Base knowledge of the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v2.0
  • Exposure to current tools used by people with disabilities (screen readers and other assistive technologies)
  • Experience with accessibility evaluation and validation software
  • Understanding of input and output modes used by people with disabilities
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements - state, Federal, international
