Location: East Greenwich RI
Description of job duties
  • Experienced SQL Server developer to develop applications around the core concepts of business process management, collaboration, and BI.
  • Must have proven skills in: SQL programing / analysis; reporting tool sets within the MS Suite for ETL processes from diverse data sources; and DB architecture / management for SQL on MS platforms.
  • Must have oral and written communication skills suitable for a fast-paced team environment of IT professionals.
Duties:
  • Code, test, and implement solutions using SQL Server 2088/2012/2013 technologies.
  • Design and implement business solutions workflows.
  • Design, develop, test, tune, and implement RDBs and procedural DB code using MS SQL Server for stored procedures, views and functions.
  • Work from high level requirements through detailed specifications, prototype, software deployment and administration.
  • Analyze technologies, technical processes and / or functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement and create / implement specifications.
  • Install patches, updates, and custom solutions to staging and production environments, create scripts to automate deployments and related tasks.
  • Communicate findings and share developments with the internal IT team and external clients.
Required Skills Core skills elements:
  • Proven ability to design, code, test, and use SQL programming tools such as T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS to support enterprise class database applications for the healthcare industry.
  • Proven analytical skills working within the SQL data environment, including: systems analysis, QA, prototyping, construction, integration and migration functions.
  • Proven skills working with reporting tool sets within the MS Suite for ETL processes utilizing MS SQL / SSIS from diverse data sources (e.g., other servers, flat files, XML, and Excel) for internal and external clients.
  • Proven skills in all aspects of database architecture and management for SQL on MS platforms.
  • Proven skills in oral and written communication suitable for a fast-paced team environment of IT professionals.
Required Experience Education and experience:
  • Masters degree (or equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or quantitative engineering discipline.
  • 3 years of experience, either in the position offered or in relevant role as an SQL developer or database administrator [In the alternative, will consider qualified candidates who possess a relevant B.Sc. (or equivalent degree), plus 5 years of experience.]
