JDE/E1 Specialist for Payroll and Billing Location: The Woodlands, TX

  • The Information Technology Business Analyst communicates with internal users of applications to address and solve users business and system needs.
  • They are also tasked to prioritize and resolve end user support calls or to reassign as appropriate.
  • Responsible for technical support, upgrades, and issue resolution associated with Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.0 Software as well as other commercially available and custom solutions.
  • Normal office environment with demanding workload.
  • Typically reports to a Business Relationship Manager.
  • Some travel required.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Record business requirements and specificationsWork closely with functional users, understand the business need, and translate into well organized, complete, and accurate documentationUnder supervision of senior project management team, execute low to medium complexity projects.
  • Develop and execute systems test cases.Support procurement of new products through development of RFI and RFP documents.
  • Work closely with system architects and other technical resources to diagnose and resolve latency and other technical issues that span software, hardware, O/S, and Citrix.Working knowledge of the business units and processes supported by applicationsIn-depth understanding of how application software has been set-up and integrated to support business needs and infrastructure.
  • Complete understanding of data use, processes, and output.
  • Ability to conduct functional testing of applications.
  • Design and develop reports and sql scriptsConduct user training on an ongoing basis.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
  • JD Edwards Enterprise One, Manufacturing, Sales Order Management and Inventory Management knowledge a must.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar position.
  • College degree in appropriate field of study. Good communication skills and project planning/management skills a must.
  • Experience with SQL Reporting services a plus.
  • Comprehensive and thorough understanding of data use, processes, and output for referenced modules.
  • Ability to conduct functional testing of applications.
  • Ability to interpret customer needs, assess requirements and identify solutions.
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others Clear understanding and experience in the software requirements and selection process.
