Role:Sr. Cognos Analyst
Location:Salem, NJ or Philadelphia, PA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manages and supports Cognos enterprise business intelligence using Cognos Administrator Collaborate with business to gather and validate reporting requirements
Design and develop strategy for self service analytic s on Cognos platform Manage service requests related to the maintenance of BI systems and reports
Development and maintenance of technical and support documents Schedule and perform routine software upgrades and patches
Provide on-call support and troubleshooting Communicate with business users to evaluate current and future BI needs Regularly monitor BI architectures performance and security Manage/Lead projects including: Design and collaborate with IS leadership on road map for scaling front end reporting technologies Work with senior management to set goals, time frame and procedures for accomplishing BI projects and allotment of resources.
Define technical scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones and required tasks of BI projects and deliverables Revise project plans as appropriate
Coordinate with all parties to monitor and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Report on status as appropriate Ensure quality of work through QA test plans and testing Travel expected 10%Job

Requirements

Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field required.
4+ years of experience with Cognos 10.x or greater, 7-10 years preferred4+ years of experience with Cognos Report Studio
Experience with Cognos Administrator preferred
Experience with Cognos Installation and Configuration preferred
Experience with Cognos Work space and Work space advanced a plus3+ years of experience with Cognos Framework Manager
Must have experience in relational database architecture, understanding of data modeling, SQL, and ETL.Experience with Dynamic Query Mode strongly preferred
Ability to analyze complex situations and develop creative solutions
Excellent communication skills; able to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences
Strong ability to multi-task and demonstrate strong time management skills
Experienced in properly assessing work and deliverables, and ability to effectively prioritize work
Ability to work in a team environment, regularly collaborating with other IT personnel to accomplish company goals
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2005+) required
Experience with SAP Business Warehouse Preferred (Business Explorer, Net Weaver)
Experience with data integration tools (Data stage, Informatica, Alteryx) a plus
Experience working with Tableau (8.x or greater) preferred
Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
Experience with Cognos TM1 a plus
Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
