Role:Sr Quality Assurance Analyst
Location:Portland, OR
Responsibilities:
- Elaborate product requirements and define acceptance criteria with team.
- Estimate tasks (e.g., using planning poker) to facilitate iteration planning.
- Determine how to test new product and system features.
- This includes web applications, web services, and system services.
- Perform exploratory testing.
- Collaborate with the team to define and build testing tools and test automation.
- Document test cases that are useful for regressions.
- Demonstrate new features for stake holder acceptance.
- Perform root cause analysis for failures.
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years testing web applications that include experience with high-volume public-facing secure sites.
- Strong testing skills, proven by a track record of success.
- Substantial knowledge of software testing processes and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and think creatively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
- Thorough knowledge of SQL.Scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell).
- Some experience writing software in a high-level language (e.g. C#, Java, Ruby, etc.).
- Desired:Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
- Experience using/testing email marketing platforms as well as mobile messaging.
- Working knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, CruiseControl, and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with JavaScript programming and testing.
