- PowerSchool is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer who will work the mobile development team and partners in product management, design and across the organization to envision and execute on new and improved mobile experiences.
- This individual will help set the direction of new iOS development and infuse our mobile team with fresh ideas and perspectivesWork closely with fellow iOS engineers in an Agile environment to build greenfield applications
- Provide guidance on the future direction of mobile technology usage
- Define and facilitate best practices for the mobile development team including process, tooling, architecture, etc.
- Deliver across the entire application life cycle: concept, build, deploy, test, release and support
- Maintain, support, troubleshoot, monitor and optimize existing and future mobile applications
- Minimum four years of native iOS development with demonstrable portfolio
- Deep understanding of iOS technologies (Swift, Objective-C, XCode, iOS SDK, Core Data)
- Expertise in quickly translating design (Photoshop, PNGs, etc.) in to working iOS code
- Experience with iOS UI design principles and accessibility best practices
- Ability to mock out server side dependencies to move fast. Knowledge of server side development processes, tools and technology a plus
- Knowledge of the Android SDK a plus
- In-depth knowledge of current technological trends, developments and best practices in the area of information security, wireless network architecture, technologies and mobile development
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
