Role: Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer
Location: Morton Grove, IL
Key Tasks :
- Maintain and continue the development of the LabView code for the Predictive Diagnostic System hardware.
- Complete the embedded software development for the data acquisition system and future hardware configurations.
- Functionally verify all code by developing test plans and test cases, interpreting test results, creating test reports and archiving results documentation.
- Work with Test Engineers and Condition Monitoring Engineers to validate complete condition monitoring systems through live trials and automated testing.
- Investigate innovative new technologies and solutions to progress client knowledge and capabilities in the areas of signal processing, data acquisition and communications.
- Required previous experience: Significant experience on embedded software development, industrial data acquisition and signal processing.
- Required Technical Knowledge: Required:LabView Certified Developer (CLD) qualificationExperience in LabView Real-time and FPGA modulesUnderstanding of common networking technologies (TCP/IP, Ethernet, WiFi etc)Beneficial:Windows development experience: C#, .NET 4.5, WCF, WebForms/MVC, XML.
- Development experience on Raspberry Pi, Arduous or similar platforms
- Bachelors degree in computer engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent plus 3 years or relevant experience.
