Business Intelligence Architect (Cognos and SQL)
Location:Dallas,TX
Responsibilities
- Maintain the data warehouse, ETL, and Cognos BI reporting infrastructure to ensure accurate and timely reporting to all key stakeholders
- Partner with business leaders to identify and recommend opportunities for improving reporting and driving better insights
- Create new BI reporting including updating data structures, building relationships with other data sources, developing reliable ETL, and developing accurate Cognos reporting- Integrate new systems into the data warehouse and BI infrastructure
- Perform complex data mining and research projects
- Recommend and implement methods to improve our data visualization capability
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing Cognos Report Studio reports, designing metadata models in Framework Manager, designing dimensional reporting databases and data warehouses, and developing complex ETL processes in PL/SQL and SSIS- Cognos Business Intelligence Certification (minimum Report Studio and Framework Manager)
- Bachelors in Technology, Finance or Business
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau a plus
- Strong work ethic with a focus on quality, results and customer satisfaction
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task and excel in fast paced, competing deadline situations
- Ability to work well in a team environment
