Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops and tests extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes Maintains and enhances existing ETL processes and incorporate changes to the Data Warehouse based on new business user requirements Takes requirements from use case inception to fully integrated testing (analysis, design, coding, and unit testing)Interviews Business Analysts in order to determine business requirements and understand source data systems and develop functional specifications Maps source system data to data warehouse models Assists with the creation of test cases, and participates in functional, load and performance testing Defines and captures metadata and rules associated with ETL processes Participates in the formulation of development procedures, standards and code maintenance and archiving Manages Company risk relative to position Basic Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in information systems, technology, or equivalent work experience5+ years\' experience working in Transact SQL programming, SQL query tuning, writing and optimizing stored procedures and queries, triggers, SSIS packages in SQL Server3+ years of ETL development experience Knowledge of industry standard ETL tool sets; preferred tools include Pentaho Data Integration and SSIS Experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, data modeling on SQL Server database platform Experience in creating mapping using disparate data sources such as flat files, databases, XML files and/or unstructured data Ability to create design docs and data flow documents Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience developing data warehouse applications Demonstrated proficiency in relational database systems Experience with data modeling/related concepts preferred Demonstrated proficiency with hand-written SQL and troubleshooting/performance tuning Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new technologies Experience with business intelligence development/tools a plus Excellent problem solving skills Self-motivated, takes initiative to identify, communicate, and resolve potential issues Financial Services industry experience is highly desirable
