Role : Software Engineer Network Processor
Location: Andover, MA
The software engineer will be responsible for design, development and the debug of various routing protocols which may include BGP, OSPF and ISIS, and MPLS control software, LDP, RSVP-TE, MPLS L3VPN, L2VPN, participate in the L2/L3 design on embedded telecommunication systems, and will provide data paths for L2, L3 packet processes in a network processor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent; MS degree preferred.
- Related experience developing software within the telecom network industry.
- Experience developing software in C or C++ on Linux operating system for embedded telecommunication systems.
- In-depth knowledge of one or more routing protocols.
- Experience in Broadcom, EZ chip or other network processors a plus.
- Experience in programming network processor.
- Familiar with details of L2/L3 packet processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of traffic engineering and fault tolerant systems preferred.
- Ability to communicate and work in a collaborative environment.
- Able to quickly learn new technologies, as required.
- Excel in a fast-pace, high-pressure environment.
- Problem solver - Able to be resourceful and figure things out.
- Self-confident - Able to express opinions and influence effectively.
