KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IT Applications and Project Management Includes But Not Limited To The Following Plans, directs and manages the daily operation of a computer operations department. Lead and direct support staff who troubleshoot IT issues. Implement policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, and corrected, Ensuring maximum issue resolution in a minimum time. Ability to gain an understanding of operational processes and needs as it relates to technology and communication equipment and work effectively with operational staff in the coordination of IT projects and identify operational technological needs. Help business operations utilize informations systems to improve efficiency. Maintain working relationships with vendors and third party providers, ensuring contracts are kept up to date and cost maintenance strategies are assessed and analyzed on a periodic basis. Keep current with technology updates to ensure technology opportunities are taken advantage of, whether the opportunities relate to speed, improved processing, cost efficiencies, etc. WORK ENVIRONMENT The Director of IT may be required to work day, evening or night shifts including weekends, holidays and on-call. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand or sit for long periods of time. Required Experience MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS The Director of IT, at a minimum, requires a Bachelorâ??s Degree in Business Management or Information Technology and at least 8 years of work experience in applications information technology. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered. Additional Requirements Strong analytical and problem solving skills. PMI certification is a major asset. Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages Ability to manage multiple projects and work with multiple levels of staff. Ability to communicate effectively on a written and verbal basis to various levels of internal/external personnel. The ability to make logical assumptions, incorporate internal and external information, and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines. Intuition to identify and implement process improvements is strongly desired. The ability to manage multiple assignments, have good judgment and prioritize projects and time effectively. Attention to detail - very organized. Skilled in the use of computers, adapts to new technology, keeps abreast of changes, learns new programs quickly, uses computers to improve productivity High level of quality, reliability, dedication, productivity, time management and initiative. Personal affinity towards the belief that substance use addictions can be treated.
