Key Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally to plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvementsTurn mock-ups and designs into pages complete with CSS, HTML, and JavascriptUpdate Web systems by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new softwareCollaborate with development teams to discuss, analyze, or resolve usability issuesDevelop functional prototypes from wireframes and mockupsCreate full documentation of all front-end implementationDevelop and optimize front-end UI functionality to ensure web applications are rendered consistently in cross-browser environmentPerform cross-browser testing and debuggingDevelop code that adheres to project requirements primarily using HTML, CSS/LESS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Liquid, and PHPOther duties as assignedDesired Skills and Experience:3-5+ years of real-world job experience in web design and development including the programming/development of web applicationsDemonstrated record of successfully translating user and business needs into relevant solutionsDemonstrated quantitative, analytical, and project management skillsSolid proficiency with HTML 5/CSS 3, JavaScript/jQuery/Bootstrap, Git.AngularJS experience a plus.Proficient with responsive design, cross-browser support and testing methodologiesExperience with website analytics tools such as Google AnalyticsProficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite productsDemonstrated ability to work well under pressure, with multiple and competing projects and deadlinesStrong ability to communicate clearly and effectivelyQuick study, always ready to confront technical challengesExperience working in Agile development environment preferredKnowledge of and passion for the Maker Movement a huge plus; real-world experience with the WordPress CMS a huge plus.
- Experience working in Agile development environment preferredA Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science strongly preferred.
