ETL / BI Data Analyst - Washington, DC - Long Term

The BI data analyst is needed to perform design and development for integrating various data sources involved in the Enterprise Data Warehouse project. The job involves analyzing and querying various data sources in relational and non-relational format. The BI data analyst will be the main point person responsible for developing various programs, objects and routines required to load data in an Enterprise data warehouse, and ensure the integrity and high quality of the data. The BI data analyst will perform requirements gathering and system analysis, data analysis, data mapping, logical data modeling, functional design, discover data anomalies, and recommend/implement data quality improvements. Based on business needs and requirements, the BI data analyst, will develop BI reports, applications and build/configure dashboards and report repositories. Responsibilities: 1. Create connections to data sources, perform data analysis and collaborate with source data Subject Matter Experts (SME) to understand data structures, relationships and hierarchies. 2. Design and create ETL processes and routines for integrating data sources. 3. Design and build BI reports and dashboards for end user querying. 4. Create and maintain documents related to business processes, ETL mapping and BI design. 5. Coordinate and communicate with business users, technical experts, SMEs and management to gather and document requirements. 6. Participate in high level design and architecture discussions and be part of a highly skilled data warehouse team.
