Job Description:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Has the ability to execute technical services if needed and / or translate this work into written requirements to be executed by other technical teams including but not limited to:
o database growth, activity, performance, and general administration
o Systems growth, activity, performance, and general administration
o Middle Ware and Batch Processing tools
o Purge/Archive activities for both databases and systems
o Daily/regular maintenance activities
o Create/maintain technical documentation of database layouts and relationships
o Maintain database administration change activities log
o Create/maintain technical documentation of IT systems layouts
o Participate in database change management or administration activities
o Ensure data recovery, maintenance, data integrity and space requirements for physical databases are met through formulations and monitoring of policies, procedures and standards relating to database management
o Execution of database change/add deployments
o Technical troubleshooting and analysis related to the maintenance software installations.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline (M)
- 5+ years on-site systems experience in a manufacturing environment (M)
- Thorough understanding of applicable systems architectures , applications and comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines including but not limited to :
- Experience with Relational Databases (Progress, SQL Server ) (W)
- Experience with Middle Ware tools (MQSeries , SonicMQ ,FTP) (W)
- Experience with the following Operating Systems (AIX,Windows,AS400) (W)
- Experience with Scheduling tools (Tivoli Workload Scheduler, ROBOT, Crontab, Windows scheduler) (W)
- Skilled in solving problems and managing the performance of systems assigned to (W)
- Understands enterprise business and business processes; knowledge of business unit functions and cross-group dependencies/relationships (W)
Relevant Years of Experience: 5+ Years
Must Have Technical Qualifications: Bachelors
Nice to Have Qualifications: SQL , Oracle DBA
