Bachelorâ??s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business (experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement). 10+ years of experience translating business requirements into technical requirements. 10+ years of experience working with data warehouse and relational database concepts. 10+ years of Business Objects developer and universe design experience. 10+ years of SQL programming experience. Demonstrated ability to solve problems and apply analytical thinking skills. Strong communication skills â?? able to effectively communicate with internal clients and external parties including vendors and contractors. Works well independently â?? must be inquisitive and seek answers to complex questions without being asked. Key Responsibilities include Work with Data Analysts gather and understand business & data requirements for business intelligence solutions Create best practices and guidelines for organizationâ??s business intelligence development & testing standards Design, develop and unit test enterprise business intelligence solutions Solid SQL knowledge with ability to code and debug PL/SQL programs. Expert knowledge of Business Objects, and ability to do all but the most complex queries such as linking tables and conditional groupings in order to respond to information requests. Able to train other business intelligence developers and other employees in advanced use of Business Objects. Assist with functional questions as needed Actively participate in companyâ??s data governance program. Begin to learn the data, what it means, and how it fits together. Anticipate needs and requests based on past experience. Assist in the creation and maintenance of enterprise meta-data repository
