Job Description The Quality Assurance Engineer requires strong technical skills as well as business analysis skills. The position requires the ability to envision strategic progress of systems from a business perspective. This position also is responsible for the creation and maintenance of an automated testing process within the agile development framework. Responsibilities: Translate Business Requirements into applicable test cases. Basic to advanced troubleshooting Report status, progress and issues to team Knowledge of SQL. Design test cases based on business requirements. Understand architecture of SQL databases for large scale applications Provide input on the improvement of the application usability. Create and document system functionality for use in training. Ability to understand and facilitate multiple test environments. Ability to analyze claim related data and create SQL scripts for validation. Ability to excel in a self directed agile environment. Posses effective written communication skills. Qualifications: Required: 2 or 4 Year College Degree Basic to advanced troubleshooting skills Strong verbal and written communication skills 3 years of prior QA or testing experience Familiarity with bug tracking systems Ability to interpret and follow test plans Ability to troubleshoot and analyze software defects Relational database (RDBMS) familiarity Must have hands on technical skills to create functionally efficient tests Preferred: Familiarity with QA Testing Methodologies Familiarity with Automated Testing Tools Experience with Health Care Claims Data Experience with health care, and Rx industry Knowledge of hospital billing and contracting methodologies Knowledge or experience with the Scrum framework
