KEY ACCOUNT ABILITIES: - Responsible for day-to-day operations and oversight of EDI Applications.
- Works closely with business areas, IT Analysts and the Application Developers in resolution of all production issues to assure a stable operating environment, and deliver results consistent with Service Level Agreements.
- Responsible for timely communication of all EDI production issues and resolution strategies to business partners.
- Includes identifying and gathering key stakeholders for each relevant production issue on EDI to assess the issue(s), writing of and/or overseeing of 5-points, making key resources and business associates aware and informed of the production problem, while working with the key stakeholder team to implement the appropriate fix.
Partners with assigned business customers to: - Proactively explore opportunities to improve the quality, efficiency, and performance of business processes.
- Establish the priority of identified issues and opportunities.
- Analyze identified issues and opportunities to determine the detailed activities, resources, and costs associated with their implementation.
- Understand business functions and end-to-end business processes to analyze and develop specifications for enhancing EDI application interfaces and maps. Develop a communications plan for all parties that need to be aware of pending changes.
- Assist in the process of developing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and data sets for developed applications and their integration to other systems.
- Reinforce the need for and lead the post-implementation review of issues and opportunities.
- Explores the successes, failures, and improvements to processes, policies, procedures, control mechanisms, performance measures, and communications for future endeavors.
- Assist Project Managers in planning, developing and deploying technical solutions as a result of clients business strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to successfully implement initiatives from conceptualization to completion, while adhering to System Development Life Cycle principles.
- Works closely with all Project Managers and Corporate Testing Co-coordinator to plan and schedule testing time frames and necessary data requirements for all projects that require EDIs testing.
- Assists Corporate Testing Co-coordinator with all technical needs, including account refreshes, security assignment, job scheduling etc.
- Proactively performs market analysis and competitor assessment of issues, problems, patches, changes and overall Application Software feedback from the market place to assess and identify potential opportunities and challenges.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelors Degree. BS, MIS or equivalent business experience.
- Experience within health care industry.
- Familiarity with IT applications for healthcare operations/service.
- In-depth knowledge of EDI concepts and HIPAA Transaction sets including Claim, ERA, Eligibility, Enrollment and Claim Status.
- Experience in full-cycle implementation of an EDI transaction.
- Knowledge of mapping and Trading Partnership setup.
- 10+ years information technology implementation, production operations and vendor management experience.
- Ability to manage projects using both internal and external service providers.
- Ability to participate proactively in business process.
- Strong business judgment and ability to plan and implement technology according to a full life-cycle business case model.
- Very strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with demanding business partners, who have a high reliance on and high expectations of their information technology partners.
