Application Servers Administration, including but not limited to WebLogic, Tomcat, IIS and JBoss. Troubleshooting J2EE applications issues using JVM diagnostics. Application Servers Security configuration using SSL. Operating System (Redhat 4/5/6) support as it relates to various application servers. Application Servers scripting, including WLST script writing for configuration and monitoring of clustered WebLogic application servers and Oracle Service Bus (OSB) clusters Application deployment to the WLS, ESB, JBoss and Tomcat clusters Application Performance monitoring and tuning within applications servers, primarily for Weblogic, OSB, Tomcat and IIS cluster. SOA concepts and architecture knowledge Proficiency in Linux scripting and Automatic Machine Build (AMB) processes Application Performance Management (APM) tools configuration and administration Setup high availability for application servers e.g., Tomcat, Weblogic, ESB, JBoss Knowledge of firewall, routers and load balancing concepts Create automatic setups using tools like Chef and Puppet.BS/BA degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree, with 6 years experience; or Masters degree plus three years of experience 6+ years deploying, patching and maintaining Java applications deployed on WebLogic or other application servers 6+ years experience with installation, maintenance, administration, and trouble shooting of LAN, WAN, computer hardware and software. 6+ years experience with LDAP directories and WebLogic 6+ yearsâ?? experience with application servers like Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic and ESB 5+ yearsâ?? experience setting up and managing Application Performance Monitoring tools 3+ yearsâ?? experience with system capacity planning and future hardware/architecture requirements planning and documentation 2+yearsâ?? experience with automation tools like Chef, Puppet etc. 2+yearsâ?? experience with the centralized logging setup for application servers and application logs. 2+yearsâ?? experience with linux scripting using Perl, Python or equivalent scripting language. Understanding of basic Linux administration including users, groups, permissions, file systems, crontab, profiles and environment control Demonstrated ability and willingness to document procedures Experience performing and assisting with equipment specification, setup, problem resolution, network support, etc., related to computer hardware and software; and providing assistance to users. Customer service skills (ability to deal with difficult situations) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Team player who understands their role within the team and mentor other engineers when needed. Strong analytical skills to resolve network and hardware related issues as it pertains to middleware Some experience working with the Project Management Office.
