Job Title : Build Engineer - Special Exception Template Location : Costa Mesa, CA Expected Duration of Project : 4 Months Start Date : 03/09/2015 Interview Type : Telephonic, Personal Duties & Responsibilites : Local Candidate Only -The candidate is expected to support daily build and deploy activities to pre-prod and production environments. -Our environment has automated build scripts setup using TeamCity and Jenkins. -We have some manual activities that we are considering to automate. -The candidate is expected to contribute in helping us automate and streamline those activities. -Until those tasks are automated, the candidate is expected to support the team with the manual tasks. Skills Required Experience in implementing Software Configuration Management (SCM) Background and experience with Build/Release best practices and procedures. Experience in supporting branching and merging activities. Experienced with the source code management system Git. Experience writing build scripts. Experience scripting using Perl, Python, Groovy or Linux shell. Background in programming and/or build engineering is required. Expertise in Continuous Build/Integration Tools: TeamCity or Jenkins. Ability to work cooperatively across various business and technical groups. Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships. BS or equivalent in Computer Science or comparable degree. Skills Preferred Background in software development is a plus. Knowledge of development methodologies such as Waterfall/Agile/XP/Scrum. Scripting experience using Gradle or Maven. Experience managing artifact repository systems (Nexus/Artifactory) is a plus.
