Negotiation Skills For assigned projects, works as liaison between developers, various business groups, corporate leadership, and IT Supports the PM and architects in negotiating a balance between individual wants and overall business needs Good persuasion/influence skills, capable of working with various personality types Works with project managers and architects to ensure solution supports current IT direction Maintains effective relationships within project stakeholders Works with project stakeholders to gain insight and knowledge of the strategic and tactical business goals Project Skills Skilled in at least one development methodology With supervision is able to work with business leaders and IT management to plan the project scope With supervision can document change requests and impacts to budgets, timeline and scope Communication Skills Works independently to gather and document project requirements, change requests, testing results Demonstrates good communication skills (written and verbal), considering context, content, audience, etc. Regarded as a SME by the business and IT Analytical Skills Uses good analytical skills to interpret and translate business problems into functional specs, use cases and applications Possesses ability to analyze data, documents, stakeholder inputs and workflow to determine solution options Demonstrates the ability to anticipate issues Demonstrates the ability to create and propose tactical design based on analysis Technology Skills Can quickly learn the applications within the service team Knowledge of infrastructure, services, databases, user interfaces, and some knowledge of technologies used within the company Technical Writing Can develop requirements for small to medium projects within the service team Skilled in formulating and documenting business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications Able to recommend alternate design solutions for technical design constraints to the business Description: Responsibilities Include: Broad application of concepts and principles. Considered a Department resource relative to company practices and standards. Frequent use and solid understanding of industry practices, techniques and standards. Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems of moderate scope. Has good working knowledge of established precedents and policies and is able to interpret them to increase impact. Works with manager to create new tools and establish new precedents and policies. Works independently with some management oversight and direction. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives with manager support. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Contributes to the completion of Department/Channel level projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of Department or Channel resources to rectify. May have frequent interactions with external contacts on significant matters solely within the Department or Channels scope (not cross- organizational). Is often the primary representative on specific projects.
