Responsibilities Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Oracle RDBMS. Troubleshoot issues in a production environment and provide resolution recommendations. Collaborate with customer to investigate root cause. Participate in on-call rotation and maintenance window activities. Represent DBA team in internal and customer facing meetings/calls. Building high performance, scalable, systems, including assisting platform design/development around DB Collaborate with design and development team, review schema/data model changes, and provide recommendations to meet performance, scalability, and resiliency requirements. Desired Skills and Experience Required Skills Minimum of 4 years experience as a DBA in an operational environment on a UNIX platform. Installing, configuring, upgrading and backing up Oracle databases. Excellent troubleshooting and database recovery skills. Must have 1 - 2 years of experience on Exadata. Real Application Clusters (RAC) setup and support. Experienced in Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure) - CRS management and configuration Skilled in Oracle ASM administration Solid infrastructure knowledge including high-availability solutions such as Oracle DataGuard, Disk replication technologies (SRDF), and VERITAS clustering Excellent SQL & database level performance tuning skills Expertise in backup & recovery and migration using RMAN, Datapump and Export import utilities Experienced in maintenance and management of databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control UNIX fundamentals and shell/perl scripting. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and customer representatives. Desirable Skills Experience with SAN and other Storage Appliances (e.g. ZFS)Atlassian lifecycle tools, Jira, Confluence Other databases ( Columnar, MySQL, etc.)
