Role: Senior Cognos Applications Developer Location: New Orleans,LA Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Proven understanding and experience with ETL tools (e.g. Data Manager, Decision Streams, OWB, ODI, SSIS, and Informatica), data presentation frameworks, and data profiling tools. Must have very strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced technical knowledge and skills working with the Cognos BI Platform Understand normalized and star-schema (dimensional) physical models and logical modeling concepts utilizing Kimball?s methodologies. Extensive programming experience in SQL & PL/SQL with optimization and performance tuning experience. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 6 years? experience with at least 4 years? experience working in BI products, including complex data modeling, dimensional data design, data analysis, query optimization and tuning with a solid background in database design, logical and physical for both 3NF and Dimensional architecture types.
