Job Summary: Manages, maintains, and supports day-to-day operations of Microsoft SharePoint environment. Monitors and tracks system health to ensure environment is resilient and highly available to meet firm standards. Designs, administers, and supports all facets of Microsoft SharePoint and related technologies for the firm. Maintains current architecture diagrams and documentation to aid in problem analysis and resolution. Assists in the support of the firm's SharePoint infrastructure. Supports other server and infrastructure projects as required to address the overall needs of the firm. Specifically, the Manager - SharePoint Administrator is responsible for: - Ensures the proper management of Microsoft SharePoint infrastructure. Recommend, coordinate, and perform the implementation of upgrades to messaging applications. In conjunction with other IS functional groups, assist in determining the needs of the firm as it relates to collaboration applications and supporting them through the life cycle of their deployment. Perform and manage projects as assigned and required. - Assist in the implementation, documentation, maintenance, and support of all SharePoint environments and tools. Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance duties for supported environment as required, while adhering to recommended best practice procedures with little business interruption. This will include planning for business continuity and disaster recovery. - Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with vendors, third party providers, and consultants for applicable services and products. Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities. - Investigate and stay abreast of technical and practical industry information relating to SharePoint and other collaboration tools. Qualifications: Skill sets required include: SharePoint Administrator Skills - In-depth knowledge and experience administering and managing Microsoft SharePoint 2010 & 2013 enterprise environments - Experience configuring and maintaining SharePoint Enterprise Search, index configurations, scheduling, & optimizing content crawling - Sound understanding of SharePoint polices and permissions - Ability to provide technical assistance for solutions and feature installation strategies to address performance issues and general platform problem analysis - Working knowledge of SharePoint upgrade tasks, including services packs and hotfixes - Strong technical and analytical skills required in solving complex system infrastructure issues. - Ability to work independently as well as with teams of internal stakeholders and SharePoint developers Minimum Qualifications: (including years of experience preferred) - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems or engineering fields, or equivalent experience - Industry certification, a plus - 5 years related work experience - 3 years Farm Administration experience with SharePoint 2007-2013 - Experience with SQL Server 2008 administration and above a plus
