The Strategic Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for collecting and analyzing information from a variety of sources (internal and external) to support product selection, technology roadmaps and negotiations with existing and potential new suppliers. The ideal candidate will be personable, well organized, highly productive, detail-oriented, data-driven person, who is used to handle multiple tasks, analyze conflicting information and is creative in finding sources of information and proposing solutions in negotiations. Who We Are Sunrun is on a mission to make solar energy affordable for more people. We help people upgrade their home to solar energy without the big upfront costs. Instead, we purchase solar facilities for our homeowners and sell them electricity under long-term contracts. We guarantee electricity production; if anything breaks or needs repair, we fix it; and we provide proactive, reliable real-time monitoring. We are very well funded, having raised ample corporate funds from venture capital from Accel Partners, Sequoia Capital, Foundation Capital, and Madrone Capital Partners as well as project financing from many banks. Responsibilities Include Creating monthly reports on product usage, pricing and cost developments Creating monthly reports on manufacturer developments Preparing for and participating in vendor negotiations Actively participate in Vendor Quality Management Processes Qualifications And Traits COVER LETTER REQUIRED WITH APPLICATION Strong analytical skills Critical and results oriented thinking, ability and passion for solving complex issues Proven ability to produce highly accurate models and reports, using multiple sources of information Excellent computer skills including Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, email and web proficiency Uncompromising commitment to quality and getting the details right – even when under pressure Excellent knowledge of Oracle and Salesforce Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus, CPSM a plus Experience in the Solar Industry a plus Intercultural experience a plus for interactions with global suppliers Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization 1-3 years’ experience in a supply chain environment
