Key Duties / Responsibilities

Design of New Functionality. Working with Project Management and other business and IT employees, design and create the technical specifications to enhance current, or develop new, system functionality. Employee will be responsible for working with the business to engineer solutions that best meet the business needs while leveraging technology to insure the delivered system is efficient, effective, secure, and supportable. Establishment of system Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and definition of monitoring and alerting solutions to insure the SLAs are attained. Design of solutions that meet security and compliance requirements. ( 40%)
Development of Solutions. Duties will include construction of solutions based on functional and technical specifications. Lead performance and capacity analysis and planning. Creation of operational specifications and procedures. Definition, documentation, and execution of unit test cases. Support Quality Assurance and User Acceptance testing. Definition, creation and execution of implementation processes and procedures. Guide other project team members in development of solution. Assist project management in task identification, planning, and tracking. ( 20%)
Support of Implemented Systems. Detailed tasks include monitoring master and transaction ETL processes, troubleshooting and resolving any issues encountered. Establishing and tracking performance metrics and leading in troubleshooting and resolving any processes not meeting established SLAs. Application layer testing and support for functional, database, operating system, and hardware level maintenance releases. Leading incident and problem management events through to resolution and identification and implementation of preventative measures. Leading performance and capacity testing, analysis, and forecasting. On-call support rotation. ( 20%)
Internal and External Customer Support. Provide 2nd level (i.e. tier 2) support to customers including responding to questions, resolving issues, providing guidance and support as needed. Interface with tracking system to prioritize tasks and document solutions. Complete customer security setups and implemented changes as required. Create and deliver customer focused training. ( 10%)

Ability to interact with business leaders and identify potential technology requirements and direction.
Ability to evaluate various technical solutions and determine/communicate/implement best approach


Desired Skills and Experience

Education & Knowledge Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Advanced degree work a plus
Mastery of Data Warehouse principles, approaches, and architectures
Strong experience working with ETL processes
Experience with Enterprise Reporting tools
Completion of training and/or certification programs a plus

Experience / Skills / Abilities Required



8+ years of IT systems development or support experience

5+ years of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Enterprise Reporting or related discipline

5+ years of ETL tool experience

5+ years of Data Architecture and/or Data Modeling

5+ years of MS SQL (2008) preferred

Experience with SAP BW tools a plus
