Payroll Tax Analyst Loc: Maryland Heights, MI

Purpose
Responsible for all payroll withholding tax activities, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filing local, state, and federal payroll tax returns.

Identify, analyze, and address issues with upgrades to the SAP system to ensure proper and accurate tax payments, with the assistance of IT support staff.
Consolidate and audit year-end W-2 and Wage and Tax Statements and files with federal agencies.
Perform all payroll tax filing, reporting, payments, and reconciliation operations.
Facilitate month- and year-end closings with the Treasury and Corporate Accounting Departments for payroll taxes.
Respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors regarding payroll tax processes, procedures, and payments.
Assist employees with payroll tax questions.
Other duties as assigned



Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience required
High school diploma or GED required



Preferred Job Requirements

4-5 years experience preferred: Progressively responsible payroll tax or accounting experience preferred

Two-year degree preferred: Emphasis in accounting or payroll tax
