Job Summary:
We are seeking an expert Confluent Kafka Architect with 12+ years of experience to design highly available, scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade Kafka ecosystems. The ideal candidate will drive streaming best practices and adoption of event-driven architecture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect enterprise-scale Confluent Kafka infrastructure for high-throughput and low-latency streaming.
• Design multi-region, multi-datacenter, and hybrid-cloud Kafka deployments.
• Architect Confluent Platform components including Confluent Server, KRaft/ZooKeeper, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, ksqlDB, and Control Center.
• Design real-time data integration and event-driven solutions.
• Optimize Kafka throughput, latency, performance, and resource utilization.
• Design Kafka authentication, authorization, encryption, and security frameworks.
• Build monitoring and observability solutions using Confluent Control Center, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Establish Kafka development standards, coding guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and enterprise architects.
• Evaluate emerging technologies in event streaming and real-time analytics.

Required Skills:

• 12+ years of overall IT experience with extensive Kafka architecture experience.
• Expert knowledge of Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform.
• Strong experience with Confluent Server, KRaft/ZooKeeper, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, and ksqlDB.
• Experience designing high-volume, low-latency, distributed Kafka environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka security, performance tuning, monitoring, and observability.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Confluent Control Center.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and real-time data integration.
• Experience with multi-region, multi-datacenter, and hybrid-cloud architectures.

Preferred Skills:

• Confluent-certified professional or equivalent Confluent Platform expertise.
• Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kafka Streams and real-time analytics.
• Experience establishing enterprise Kafka governance and standards.
• Strong technical leadership, architecture documentation, and mentoring experience.
