Senior Gen AI & Agentic AI Engineer
Austin, TX (On-Site)
Job Description:
Role- Senior Gen AI & Agentic AI Engineer
Location -Austin/ Southlake, TX
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gen AI & Agentic AI Engineer with strong C#/.NET experience to design, build, and deploy next-generation intelligent systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Artificial Intelligence and robust enterprise .NET applications. You will be responsible for orchestrating autonomous AI agents, implementing multi-agent workflows, and leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Agentic System Engineering
- Design and develop autonomous AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning, tool execution, and self-correction using GCP Gen AI tools.
- Implement multi-agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., AutoGen, LangGraph, or custom .NET orchestration layers) to manage complex, collaborative AI workflows.
- Build and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines utilizing vector databases and advanced semantic search techniques.
- Fine-tune and prompt engineer LLMs (such as Google Gemini) to maximize accuracy, reduce hallucination, and enforce safety guardrails.
Enterprise .NET Integration
- Develop robust backend services using C# and .NET 8+ to seamlessly integrate GCP AI services into enterprise applications.
- Utilize Semantic Kernel or LangChain4Net to manage AI prompts, native functions, and memory within the .NET ecosystem.
- Build highly scalable APIs (Web API / gRPC) to expose agentic AI capabilities to frontend systems and external services.
Cloud Architecture & DevOps
- Architect cloud-native solutions on GCP using Vertex AI, Agent Builder, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery.
- Implement vector search infrastructure using Vertex AI Vector Search or databases like pgvector/Pinecone.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines for both .NET applications and AI artifacts, incorporating LLM evaluation and monitoring (LLMOps).
Required Technical Skills
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Vertex AI: Vertex AI Studio, Model Garden, and Vertex AI Agent Builder.
- Models: Deep experience working with Google Gemini models.
- Data & Compute: Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Development & Frameworks
- Language: Expert-level proficiency in C# and the modern .NET ecosystem (.NET 8+).
- AI Frameworks: Semantic Kernel (highly preferred), LangChain, or custom agentic framework development.
- Database: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and specialized Vector Databases (Vertex AI Vector Search, Qdrant, Milvus, or Pinecone).
Generative AI Concepts
- Deep understanding of Agentic AI design patterns (ReAct, Planning, Tool Use, Reflection).
- Solid grasp of Embeddings, Tokenization, Context Window management, and Guardrailing.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience:
- 8+ years of professional backend software engineering experience with C#/.NET.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying Generative AI solutions in a production cloud environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or GCP Professional Data Engineer / AI Engineer certifications.
- Hand on Experience with Python (useful for cross-functional collaboration with data science teams).
Key Skills:
- Gen AI and Agentic AI and C#/.NET
