Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Kafka Architect with 10+ years of experience to design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, secure, and reliable Apache Kafka platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kafka architecture, event-driven systems, cloud platforms, and DevOps automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Kafka clusters, topics, partitions, replication, and disaster-recovery strategies.
• Integrate Kafka with applications, databases, and streaming platforms using Producers, Consumers, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
• Optimize Kafka performance, capacity, throughput, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement Kafka security using SSL/TLS, SASL, ACLs, and encryption.
• Monitor Kafka environments and troubleshoot production issues.
• Automate Kafka deployment and operations using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Establish Kafka governance, standards, best practices, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application teams on event-driven solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture documentation, and mentoring.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong Kafka architecture experience.
• Expert knowledge of Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry.
• Strong experience with Java and Linux.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of Kafka security, networking, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture and enterprise messaging.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing large-scale enterprise Kafka platforms.
• Experience with multi-region and multi-cluster Kafka environments.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automated Kafka operations.
• Strong communication, technical leadership, documentation, and mentoring skills.
