Job Description – Product Owner, ERP Finance / Workday

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong knowledge of ERP Finance and Workday Financial Management to lead finance technology initiatives and drive product enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the product backlog for ERP Finance and Workday initiatives.

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from finance stakeholders.

• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.

• Prioritize product features, enhancements, and defect fixes based on business needs.

• Collaborate with Workday functional consultants, developers, QA teams, and business users.

• Support Workday Finance implementations, enhancements, integrations, and releases.

• Work with finance teams on processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report.

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate delivered functionality.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Track product risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery timelines.

• Communicate product priorities, progress, and business outcomes to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, ERP, or Finance technology.

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Finance / Workday Financial Management.

• Good understanding of ERP finance processes.

• Experience with P2P, R2R, GL, AP, and AR.

• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.

• Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workday Financial Management certification.

• Experience with Workday integrations and financial systems.

• Experience with ERP implementation or transformation projects.

• Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting processes.

• Experience working with enterprise-scale finance applications.
