We are seeking a highly skilled SAP MM Consultant / Systems Analyst for a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity in Houston, TX. This role requires a strong hands-on SAP MM professional with deep experience in configuration, production support, data cleansing, and migration activities. The hiring manager is specifically seeking candidates who work directly in SAP MM daily and can troubleshoot, configure, and support complex MM environments independently.
Top Priorities
- 5–7 years of strong hands-on SAP MM configuration experience
- Data extraction, cleansing, migration, and reconciliation expertise
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues independently
- Strong procurement, inventory, and logistics background
Required SAP MM Experience
- Hands-on SAP MM configuration experience including:
- Plants
- Storage Locations
- Procurement
- Stock Transport Orders (STO)
- Inventory Management
- Logistics
- Strong understanding of Material Master data and business impacts
- Experience with:
- Material Planning / MRP
- Cycle counting
- Inventory valuations & reconciliations
- Batch job monitoring and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting:
- Project cutover
- Go-live
- Hyper-care support
- Ability to create functional and technical specifications
Data & Migration Experience (Very Important)
Candidates must have strong experience with:
- Data extraction
- Data cleansing
- Data mapping
- Data migration
- Reconciliation
- Mass data uploads / mass loads
Additional Technical Experience
- IDOC/EDI mapping and troubleshooting
- MATMAS
- CLFMAS
- Collaboration with BI and ABAP teams
- ETL and reporting support projects
- SAP MM/SCM troubleshooting and configuration
SAP MDG Experience (Nice to Have)
Preferred but not mandatory:
- MDG approval workflows
- Business validations and derivations
- MDG UI customization
- Business Context Viewer
- Master data consolidation
- Familiarity with Fiori applications in MDG

Candidates Who Will NOT Be a Fit
- Primarily project managers, scrum masters, or coordinators
- SAP SD/OTC or PM-focused candidates with limited MM depth
- Candidates lacking true hands-on configuration experience
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 5–7 years of relevant SAP MM experience required
