Position:  Azure Data Engineering Delivery Lead

Location:  MI – Hybrid Locals or Nearby  

Experience: 12 years Exp

Delivery & Operational Responsibilities• Own end-to-end delivery of data engineering solutions from requirement intake to production support.
• Act as the primary point of contact for delivery status, risks, and issues.
• Plan and manage sprint work, releases, and deployment schedules.
• Track delivery milestones and ensure commitments are met.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize work and manage changing requirements.
• Monitor production workloads, handle incidents, and lead root cause analysis.
• Ensure SLAs, availability, and performance expectations are consistently met.
• Work with DevOps and Cloud teams on deployments, monitoring, and cost management.
• Ensure documentation, handover, and support readiness for all delivered solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in data engineering with Azure technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Cosmos DB.
• Solid programming skills in SQL, Python, Scala, and Spark.
• Experience with Azure Microservices, Kubernetes, and Azure Functions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting production systems and managing delivery commitments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead work, take ownership, and follow through on delivery.

Nice to Have
• Experience working in a managed services or enterprise support environment.
• Familiarity with ITIL or service management practices.
• Experience handling on-call or production support responsibilities
