Role – Manager - Clinical Cost Strategy with 6 to 10 Years

Summary of JD:
The candidate should have techno-functional + Analytics expertise in Clinical Finance and Cost Analytics with expertise in excel & VBA automations, who can translate “how clinical trials are run” into “how much they should cost”, and ensures those costs are accurate and optimised - ensuring Costs are well-structured, Pricing is logical. Resource should Analyse & Improve Cost Efficiency by identifying where money is being overspent and opportunities to optimize by improving cost predictability and budget accuracy.
This candidate needs to understand/build Clinical Cost Models by taking inputs like Study Design, # of sites/patients, Vendor setup etc and convert that into detailed cost breakdowns and provide info on "what should this trial cost and why?". The individual may also be required to support vendor negotiations by working with procurement and outsourcing teams to Validate vendor quote and Identify overpricing or inefficiencies and provide data-backed arguments during negotiations, along with creating Tools (Mostly Excel-Based) to build and maintain Cost calculations and Budget Templates using advanced Excel and VBA automations and make the tools reusable across studies
- Core functional skill: Clinical trial budgeting, Cost modelling, Vendor pricing understanding and financial analysis
- Core Technical Skill: Experienced VBA Programmer, advanced skills with analytical, visualization, and business systems/tools (AI/ML, MS Excel, SharePoint, Tableau, SmartSuite)
- Soft Skill: Ability to work independently, take initiative and complete tasks to deadlines
