Job Description

1. Current Account Context
This role supports USAA within the Property & Casualty organization, a long?standing and strategic customer for us. We have a strong history supporting USAA across large?scale modernization initiatives, particularly within P&C, data, and pricing-related programs. This work sits squarely within an established relationship and a high?visibility transformation effort.
2. Current Manager Relationship
The role aligns with existing leadership within USAA’s policy modernization space, including close partnership with Brian Caldwell, who leads the Earnix and policy modernization efforts. There is also a newly introduced SVP over the actuarial organization, creating an opportunity for this role to influence direction, operating models, and strategic priorities early in that leadership transition.
3. Project Description
This position supports an enterprise policy modernization initiative centered on Earnix as the core pricing and underwriting platform. The focus is on modernizing pricing models, improving predictive accuracy, and shifting toward more data?driven, recency?based decisioning. The Strategy DPO operates at the epic and program level, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and teams.

4. Responsible for the sequencing of the P&C product implementation and business readiness including all impacted business areas and go to market responsibilities.
5. Responsible for tracking all Go-Live activities: Forms/Filings, Change Adoption, Learning & Development, Knowledge Central, Controls, Underwriting, User Acceptance Testing, IP Support, and Post Production Support.
6. Develops and drives P&C product strategy, product design from innovation to execution, and indirectly leading multiple business units through product implementation while obtaining alignment from leadership.
7. Serve as the Business POC and presenter for all PI Planning activities for Umbrella for the Business ART.
8. Collect all artifacts from business teams for Inspect & Adapt, write the PI Objectives, organize all the feature work, and story writing.
9. Own both the Go-Live and Fast Follow epics for Umbrella and host weekly huddles and sprint planning/iteration reviews with business leads who own the features and work under the epic. Coordinates Rally updates to maintain EPMO complianc
