Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations at a leading industrial facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance teams, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

 People & Labor Management

  • Lead and manage all aspects of Safety, Quality, and Line Efficiency for the assigned shift
  • Drive and manage the Daily Meeting System (DMS) for the maintenance department
  • Execute maintenance and repair plans while building team capability through coaching and training
  • Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing and onboarding maintenance mechanics
  • Manage union relationships, ensuring a positive and compliant work environment
  • Develop team capabilities, including Shift Leads, by providing tools, training, and growth opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in tooling and workshop operations
  • Oversee talent development and performance management for PM Technicians

Preventive Maintenance & Reliability

  • Lead initiatives to reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and improve equipment uptime
  • Take ownership during unplanned downtime by making quick, effective decisions to restore operations safely
  • Conduct post-maintenance reviews and document learnings for continuous improvement
  • Drive execution of Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs, including planned and unplanned maintenance activities
  • Provide timely feedback from PM activities to update maintenance plans in SAP (Systems, Applications & Products)
  • Develop deep understanding of production processes to improve maintenance strategies and decision-making

 Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance within food & beverage or manufacturing environments
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment systems
  • Proven experience in improving equipment reliability and maintenance KPIs (MTTR, uptime, etc.)
  • Experience working in unionized environments
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS/SAP systems
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-speed food production or packaging environments
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and automation
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • OSHA or food safety certifications
