Job Title: Workday Integration Developer (Techno-Functional)

Location: Chicago, IL or Tempe, AZ (Hybrid 3 days onsite) (Locals only)

Overview:
Seeking a Workday Integration Developer with strong technical integration expertise and functional understanding of HR and Payroll processes to design, build, and support integrations across core Workday modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services
• Build inbound/outbound integrations for HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, and Time Tracking
• Integrate Workday with third-party vendors (payroll, benefits, banking, background checks)
• Collaborate with HR and Payroll teams to translate functional needs into technical solutions
• Configure business processes, security roles, and calculated fields
• Perform data transformations using XML/XSLT and support BIRT reporting
• Troubleshoot integration failures and resolve data/performance issues
• Support Workday releases, testing, and post-production environments
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure data security compliance

Requirements:

• 6+ years of Workday integration development experience
• Strong hands-on expertise with Workday Studio and Core Connectors
• Experience across HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent modules
• Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, XML, and XSLT transformations
• Knowledge of Workday security model and business process framework
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex integration and payroll issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to work hybrid onsite

Preferred:

• Workday Integration Certification
• Experience with PECI, PICOF, Benefits Connectors
• Integrations with ADP, Fidelity, banking, or healthcare vendors
• Exposure to AWS/Azure or Workday Prism Analytics
