Position Title: IT Healthcare Consultant – Business Analyst – Advanced
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) – South Carolina
Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)
Interview Process: 1 round, virtual/online

Residency Requirement: Candidate must be a current SC resident or willing to relocate to SC at their own expense prior to starting

Role Overview:
The principal duties of this position are to evaluate agency needs, analyze current and future business processes, and provide strategies for IT and non-technical solutions. The BA will provide detailed analysis and document business processes and requirements while serving as a liaison between the business community and IT teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as liaison between business programs and IT to provide solutions that meet user needs.

• Analyze business operations to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.

• Conduct requirements gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes.

• Support business process redesign and documentation.

• Document and analyze business/data requirements and recommend improvements.

• Manage requirements lifecycle including change control, versioning, traceability, and reporting.

• Provide guidance to technical and testing teams.

• Interact with vendors, government agencies, providers, and beneficiaries.

• Research and maintain business rules, requirements, and models.

• Proactively identify risks and propose solutions.

Required Skills:

• 1+ years’ experience with IBM Curam software.

• 1+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst on government IT projects.

• 1+ years’ experience eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business rules and processes.

• 2+ years’ Medicaid Eligibility or healthcare insurance experience.

• Strong written and oral communication skills (requirements and use case documentation).

• Experience gathering requirements from business personnel, regulations, and policies.

• Knowledge of business process documentation and modeling techniques.

• Ability to communicate with executives, project managers, and technical teams.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or healthcare field
