Job Description:
Position Title: IT Healthcare Consultant – Business Analyst – Advanced
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) – South Carolina
Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)
Interview Process: 1 round, virtual/online
Start Date: ASAP
Residency Requirement: Candidate must be a current SC resident or willing to relocate to SC at their own expense prior to starting
Role Overview:
The principal duties of this position are to evaluate agency needs, analyze current and future business processes, and provide strategies for IT and non-technical solutions. The BA will provide detailed analysis and document business processes and requirements while serving as a liaison between the business community and IT teams.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as liaison between business programs and IT to provide solutions that meet user needs.
Analyze business operations to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
Conduct requirements gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes.
Support business process redesign and documentation.
Document and analyze business/data requirements and recommend improvements.
Manage requirements lifecycle including change control, versioning, traceability, and reporting.
Provide guidance to technical and testing teams.
Interact with vendors, government agencies, providers, and beneficiaries.
Research and maintain business rules, requirements, and models.
Proactively identify risks and propose solutions.
Required Skills:
1+ years’ experience with IBM Curam software.
1+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst on government IT projects.
1+ years’ experience eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business rules and processes.
2+ years’ Medicaid Eligibility or healthcare insurance experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills (requirements and use case documentation).
Experience gathering requirements from business personnel, regulations, and policies.
Knowledge of business process documentation and modeling techniques.
Ability to communicate with executives, project managers, and technical teams.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or healthcare field
