Role: Android platform Engineer


Location: Addison, TX 75001 (Hybrid -3 days onsite per week)


Position type: 12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion


 


NOTE: Local candidates - no relocations. Full On-Site OR Hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week. Day 1 will be onsite.


POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for experienced Android platform Automation Engineer with strong leadership, insights on Mobile Architecture, software development skills and experience in developing and enhancing mobile test automation frameworks. He or she will be responsible for designing/developing automated solutions including unit testing, functional testing, UI testing and performance testing that help guarantee the software quality across a wide range of mobile devices and tablets. Typically requires minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Must have a bachelors degree or equivalent degree is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in computer science or similar technical field

• 5+ years of experience in Android Development using Kotlin and/or Java.

• Must have experience in one of the mobile automation tools and frameworks (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).

• Hands on experience in designing and building automation frameworks from scratch or using open source tools.

• Must have experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium. Develop and document test UI automation.

• Java and Shell Scripting is MUST.

• Mobile Test Automation with Appium is a MUST.

• Selenium Test NG.

• Implement new testing frameworks for future products and features.

• Participate in code review of standards, procedures, tools, and quality improvement processes.

• Maintain automated regression suites/packages to be compliant with changing requirements and features.

• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams.

• Hands on experience in designing and building automation frameworks from scratch or using open source tools

• Experience working with various source code and CI/CD management tools e.g. Jenkins, Perforce, Git, Bitbucket

• Ability to work with limited to no guidance in a team environment.

Experience with continuous integration Unit tests.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
