Senior Data Architect

Note::--Havingstrong exp with asset management  and  financial services industrybackground is apparently a hard requirement on this. 

MajorPurpose:

Datamodeling focus

Technology– Snowflake, AWS data lake, experience across those technologies is helpful.

Intensivedata domain work – physical/logical data modeling. Security reference data,index, transactions, typical data domains covered in an asset manager.

Key Techleaders are in the Boston office – helpful to collaborate with those folks inperson.

RequiredEducation:

Bachelor’sdegree in related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, DataScience, or Engineering 

RequiredQualifications/Skills/Experience:

15+ yearsof experience

Stronginterpersonal skills, tact, patience, courtesy, good listening skills, teamplayer

Assetmanagement experience/knowledge and industry specific data models

Strongexperience as a senior data architect, producing data models and businessdiagrams to explain complex issues

Strongunderstanding of modern data platform concepts such as Data Lake, Lakehouse,and Data Warehouse.

Strongexperience in key data sets covering Front, Middle and Back Office functions

Experienceof complex and large change projects and analysis of the end-to-end data flowsand the operating model

Expertisein eliciting, analyzing, prioritizing, and validating requirements and buildingpartnerships with business stakeholders

Producehigh quality requirements and architecture documentation, business process anddata flows and current and target states

Experienceof assimilating a lot of detailed information, identify the important pointsand present them in the appropriate format

Experienceof leading and facilitating effective project meetings & workshops

Proventrack record in designing and delivering business solutions

Overview:The team is a key part of delivering strategic goals, objectives and outcomesset by functional and work stream leads. This role will work closely with theData Group to complete key architecture deliverables across several businessinitiatives, also engaging with other areas of the business as required.

JobDuties:

Developconceptual and logical data model including and entity relationship model forthe Enterprise based on core data domains of an investment manager (instrument,index, position, transaction, account, product etc.) representing entityrelationships to underpin the technical build for consistent data structures

Developsecondary level of detailed model for key enterprise domains, feeding intostrategy definitions for those domains and target state design

Develop aframework of data principles, patterns, and standards for data management,integration, and consumption

Document astandard mapping for data flow from source through the data lake/lake housethrough to consumption to drive consistency in mapping documentation acrossprojects and domains

Support andlead as appropriate discussions with Technology to explain the LDM and confirmhow this will be delivered through technical development

Liaise withSMEs within Data Group, Technology and Transformation and Change as required tounderstand data coverage in existing and legacy solutions to inform the dataarchitecture blueprint

Socializedata model and architecture with Data Group and work to understand impact /changes to existing data capabilities and approaches e.g. data cataloguing,metadata management, taxonomies, data quality management

Documentapproach to implementing logical data model for the enterprise, and impact topre-existing data solutions and projects underway

Managemultiple relationships across the organization, including senior leaders, andat times with, external parties

Act as aliaison between business leaders and stakeholders to gather information, sharebest practices, and ensure initiatives are executed appropriately

Supportdevelopment of material to socialize the use and benefits of data modelling toa range of stakeholders with varying data / technical understanding andseniority
