Role Summary:
We are urgently seeking an experienced IT Engagement Manager (Delivery) to lead strategic technology initiatives for a leading utility company. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record of managing large-scale IT project delivery, client engagement, and cross-functional team collaboration. The position involves working closely with internal business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure high-quality delivery of IT solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between IT and business stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT initiatives, from project initiation through execution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Manage project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, while maintaining focus on quality and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and expectation management.
- Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
- Track project milestones, prepare status reports, and facilitate project reviews with executive stakeholders.
- Resolve escalated issues and remove blockers to ensure successful, on-time delivery.
- Ensure adherence to governance processes, project methodologies (Agile/Waterfall), and IT compliance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, tools, and team performance.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of IT experience with a focus on program or project delivery in complex enterprise environments.
- 5+ years in a client-facing Engagement/Delivery Manager role.
- Prior experience in the utility or energy sector is highly preferred.
- Strong background in project and program management with hands-on experience in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business leadership.
- Demonstrated experience with vendor management, offshore coordination, and cross-functional leadership.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- PMP, SAFe, or similar certifications are a plus.
