Your Role: What You’ll Do
As a member of the Center for Equitable AI and Machine Learning Systems (CEAMLS) faculty, you’ll contribute to Morgan State’s mission through impactful teaching, groundbreaking research, and meaningful service. Your responsibilities include:
Teaching
- Designing and delivering undergraduate and graduate-level courses (online and in-person) in AI, Data Analytics, Information Systems, and Project Management.
- Developing curriculum and innovative teaching strategies to support student success in areas such as:
- AI
- Data Visualization and Analytics
- Cybersecurity
- Systems Analysis and Design
- Supply Chain Management
- Enterprise Information Systems (SAP).
Research & Grants
- Conduct research in AI, Data Analytics, and Equitable AI to address emerging challenges and contribute to the global dialogue on ethics and fairness in technology.
- Write and secure grants to advance your work.
- Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and local conferences.
Service & Collaboration
- Engage in multidisciplinary projects with faculty across diverse fields.
- Serve on departmental, school, and university committees.
- Actively participate in professional organizations and initiatives that shape the future of equitable AI.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Information Systems or a related field (e.g., Decision Sciences, Management Sciences) earned by August 2025.
- Demonstrated research experience in Artificial Intelligence.
- Proven ability to conduct high-quality research and secure grant funding.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in the equity dimensions of AI and its societal implications.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students.
- Industry or professional experience leveraging skills in AI, data analytics, or related areas.
Skills & Abilities
- Deep knowledge of artificial intelligence, data science, and information systems.
- Strong research and proposal-writing capabilities.
